This is a place I pass often, close to home, where the Tolt pipeline at the top of Hollywood Hill descends just enough to make you slow down without realizing it.
Some days it’s just another stretch of road. And some days, especially when the light settles in like this, it feels like something worth paying attention to.
The rider isn’t really the subject so much as a marker—someone moving through the same space, at their own pace, not in a hurry to get anywhere else.
I think that’s what stayed with me. The quiet of it. The sense that not everything needs to be rushed or resolved right away.
Some places just hold that for you, if you let them.
