In this class, you’ll use special barbed felting needles to shape and sculpt fluffy wool into a charming bird figurine to sit on a table, perch on a stick, or hang like an ornament.
You can take this class alone, or continue with Needle-Felted Birds, Level II: Standing Songbirds.
No experience necessary – the class is suitable for beginners or experienced needle felters.
We’ll create the bird shape from white core wool, discussing best practices for building and refining three-dimensional forms with wool.
Then we’ll choose either realistic colors or colors from our imaginations to bring our creations to life!
All supplies will be provided, including:
- Enough wool to make several birds.
- A needle felting kit to take home and continue crafting
Note: felting needles are very sharp and should be handled with care.
