A Creative Mother’s Day Experience
Join us for a special two-day silk painting workshop where you’ll design and paint a luxurious silk scarf using professional dyes and techniques. This workshop is designed for both individual artists and collaborative pairs, making it a meaningful creative experience to share with a parent, teen, or loved one — just in time for Mother’s Day.
Participants may choose to:
- Create their own individual silk scarf, or
- Collaborate on a single scarf together (a beautiful option for a parent & teen duo)
Each registration includes one silk scarf. Collaborative pairs will work together on a shared design.
No prior experience is necessary — this workshop is welcoming, supportive, and perfect for first-time silk painters as well as experienced artists looking to explore a new medium.
What We’ll Do
Friday Evening – Design & Drawing
- Introduction to silk painting materials and techniques
- Inspiration and design planning
- Drawing your design directly onto silk using resist
- Preparing the scarf for painting
Saturday – Painting & Finishing
- Painting your scarf with vibrant silk dyes
- Color blending, layering, and expressive mark-making
- Final steps and preparation for steaming (done by the studio after the workshop)
Your finished scarf will be professionally steamed to set the color and will be ready for pickup the following week.
