Looking for a creative summer camp for kids that blends hands-on art making with imagination and skill-building? Farmyard Fun Art Camp at Picket Fence Art Studio is a week-long summer art camp for ages 8–13 inspired by animals, rural landscapes, and storytelling through art.
This engaging camp introduces students to drawing, painting, mixed media, and clay, using professional-quality materials and age-appropriate instruction. Campers build confidence, learn new techniques, and create artwork they’re proud to take home.
A highlight of the week will be drawing real animals from life. These drawings become the foundation for expressive paintings, layered farm scenes, and sculptural projects back in the studio.
What Campers Will Create
Projects may include:
- Expressive animal paintings, including patterned chickens and other farm animals
- Layered rural landscape paintings exploring foreground, middle ground, and background
- Texture studies using watercolor, acrylic, ink, and mixed media
- Hand-built clay farm animals or totems with detailed surface texture
(Clay pieces are kiln-fired and ready for pickup one week after camp)
