Find Your Artistic Voice through the Power of Oil

Experience the beauty of oil painting in a class that moves at your pace. Tailored to meet each student’s unique needs, this course invites you to dive into the world of oils through subjects that truly inspire you—from the structured beauty of a still life to the sweeping atmosphere of a landscape or the subtle character of a portrait.

Learn to “see” like an artist as we cover the essentials of color harmony and value. Brenno Kenji’s interdisciplinary approach bridges the gap between technical mastery and creative discovery, making it the perfect environment for beginners to start their journey and for seasoned artists to refine their edge. Come capture the vibrancy of life and leave with a painting that is uniquely yours.

What You’ll Discover:

Individualized Feedback: Benefit from personalized 1-on-1 critiques that help you overcome your specific artistic hurdles.

The Alla Prima Method: Learn the “wet-on-wet” technique to create fresh, spontaneous paintings in a single sitting.

Color Mixing Mastery: Move beyond the tube—learn how to mix clean, vibrant colors and understand color relationships.

Value & Form: Master the “light and shadow” logic that gives your subjects depth and a three-dimensional feel.

Tailored Subject Matter: Whether you want to focus on portraits, landscapes, or still life, the instruction is adapted to your specific goals.

Confident Brushwork: Develop a “brave brush” by learning how to make intentional, expressive marks on the canvas.

Materials: Students may bring their own supplies or opt for a curated materials kit for an additional $50 fee. The recommended supply list can be found HERE. Supply fee will be collected the first day of class.
