DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special workshop exploring the luminous\, layered world of encaustic painting. In this 2.5-hour workshop\, students will create a mixed-media encaustic artwork inspired by flowers. \n\n\n\nWorking with molten beeswax and damar resin\, we’ll build soft\, atmospheric backgrounds using layers of color\, collage\, and mark-making. Once the surface has depth and movement\, we’ll integrate dried flowers as the focal point\, allowing them to emerge naturally from the wax rather than sit on top of the surface.
