Finding my Way, 16 x 20, Oil on Board

I took this photo of my middle daughter as she was strolling through the streets of a little village in Tuscany.  I started painting it at a workshop with Jennifer Deihl at Cole Gallery in Edmonds.

I continued to work on this painting as my daughter moved off for her freshman year of college and the meaning of it grew and grew.  It’s about finding your way.  Making choices.   Staying in the light.  There are a lot of hidden messages in it.  Can you find them?
