About my art:
I have a passion for oil painting in the Russian Post Impressionism Style. I have been fortunate to study under many great artists specializing in this style of painting including Pam Ingalls, Henry Stinson and Cheri Christensen. I have also taken Foundation Drawing Courses at Gage Academy of Art and most recently started exploring painting with Encaustics.
“Processing life through my photography, art, words and mostly love. When I paint, or take certain photos, I tap into the spirituality in me and of the world. The only way I can explain it that the translation moves through me like a wave that moves from my mind, through my hand and onto the canvas. I am not just painting glaciers, or baby chicks or faces. I am painting the feeling or emotion that goes with the moment or memory, whether it be love, doubt, sadness or grace. It is that feeling that the painting or photographs evoke.”
Hope to see you there.
